Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
Possesion
I left two peices of sterio equipment @ a friends house. The equipment was stolen from his house. I know that he is responsible for the it. My question is what are my rights, and would I also be able to get the full amount of the equip.

It's not clear from your message, but was your agreement with your friend that he would hold these items and to return them to you in good shape? If so, then you would be entitled to recover the replacement value of the items he lost. One possible defense available to him is that you simply left these items at his house, and that you made no agreement with him. Another defense available to him might be that you gave these items to him as a gift, and that it was never intended that he return them to you. Good luck.
