probation violation

I have received a letter stating that i violated probation, its for not keeping up with my court fees every month I am suppose to pay 55 a month, but i have only paid 100 my balance is 559, will they throw me in jail, it states in the letter they can hold me for upto 60 days. my probation officer states that i owe 275 for march-august, if i pay that and go to court for the warrent will they still throw me in jail, i have a good job, and I am a single mom raising my son, i am on probation for bouncing a check

While it is unlikely that you will go to jail for being behind on your fees, it depends on your prior history of violations, if any, and your record. You are best off with attorney representation.

I agree with what was said in the first two answers. I would add that if you can pay it now, do so. You are very, very unlikely to go to jail for fees that have since been paid.

You should get in touch with your probation officer, and explain your current financial situation. If you owe the monthly probation fees not a fine, you may be able to get part or all of it waived.
