Question re. child molestation allegation

My son age 26 has been acuused by his girlfiend of sexually molesting her 3 yo son. No charges have been pressed yet (its been 2 weeks) There is a restraining order in place against my son, so we don't know what is or has taken place since the allegations My son claims he is innocent, and this is tearing him apart. And there is one other male in the childs environment that auhtorities have warned the mother to keep the boy away from. Problem is that person is her stepfather who lives in the same household. From what I heard pror to the restraining order, I do beleive that this child has been in fact molested. However no physical evidence has been found upon physiacl exam of the child. What is the usual course of procedures in a case like this? What comes next? What should we expect to happen to my son.? and how can we tell if this child is currently safe?

Re: Question re. child molestation allegation

Unless it is his child, the best thing he could do is to stay away from the situation. If charges are filed, and even if they are not, he will need to consult counsel familiar with the criminal legal arena. He should not speak to any person about the situation before speaking to counsel. Self-protection should be primary: self preservation. Counsel would advise him of how, when and where he should deal with any of concerns, and fears.
