Question regarding record

scenario: someone called the cops on me because i was arguing with my mom and the person. The person claimed that i approached her nd tapped her with a remote control. Now the cop came to my house they asked me questions. took my name down. Now i wonder will this be on my record as criminal record.? but the othe party did not file a charge on me and i did not get arrested that night . the cops showed up and took my name the other party names down.
