Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

My question is if you get set up from selling drugs to some one isn't suppose to be in the police report and the person that you soled the crcack to that had set you up shpuldnt he or she be charged for possening with the drugs or is it okay because they bargin with a detective
