hi,
is recording someone elses phone conversations, live conversations and taking photos to be used in a trial legal?

It is illegal to record anyone else either by phone or in person without that person's consent. (Unless of course it is a government agency with a warrant doing the taping.) You do not have to have the consent of the person for pictures. Martha Kovner
