Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
right to regaining a motor vehicle license
Son lost his license to drive for 2 years for DUI. He has been clean and sober for over 2 years, went to registry and now they want him to pay large fine, which is doable, but, they also want him to sign a waiver that he will never drive in state of Mass. again..Is this legal?

Once the time for the suspension is over, reinstatement should only include the payment. I never heard of an affidavit such as the one you are asked to sign.
