Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
a road rager spit on me through my open window as I was just trying to park on the street in front of my apt. I'm bringing a criminal complaint against this pig. I don't know what to expect or what to even ask for. this guy is from nantucket (he's probably rich) I'd like him to pay for what he did to me. can i ask the court to give him community service, a letter of apology and/or anger management? can I ask him, or more likely his attorney (out of court) to settle on some kind of fiscal restitution?
can I also file in civil court or small claims court?
ps. this took off and led me on a chase as I was on the phone with 911. at one point he led me down a side street and came over to my car and tried to intimidate me etc. also, he has a witness (his poor wife!).

I suppose all of those options are possible, although I think you might have a tough time in small claims court. If the court issues a criminal complaint, you can discuss the range of options with the district attorney. Good luck.
