Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

I was scammed on a dating site by a real verifiable person. They claim no crime was committed because they didn't use a fake identify and I sent money at my own free will. Is this true? Is there no legal action I can take if they are a real person using mostly true info other than actual location in the US?

You don't provide enough information to give you meaningful advice about your situation. That said, the fact that the other person used their real name, rather than a fake identity, is not a legal defense to a scam, and they may still be liable, depending on the circumstances involved. You will have to provide more information, however, to determine whether that person may have some liability in this matter.
