Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
Sealing of criminal records in Massachusetts
Two weeks ago I left court. I was charged with (1) 2 counts of forgery of notarized document [267 s. 1A]; (2) filing a false report as a public official [268 s. 6A]; and (3) advertising investigations without a license [147 s. 23].
The 2 counts of forgery were not prosecuted by the DA.
The unlicensed private detective and false report charged were given a general continuance for one year with NO probation imposed. Two weeks ago, those two charges were dismissed.
Because I DID NOT admit to sufficient facts, nor was I found guilty, nor was there any probation sentence, am I able to get these charges sealed?
Thanks!
