smokin crack

if you smoke crack, and then a year later tell the cops that you smoked crack, will they arrest you? or will they just let it go since it was a year ago?

An admission/confession is not good. I am not sure why you believe that since it refers to an event a year ago, it may not matter - smoking or admission?

I agree with Attorney Maloney's comments. Regardless of whether or not they can or will arrest you a year after the fact, telling the police about it wouldn't be a very smart thing to do.

An admission of a crime alone, with no corroborating evidence, no matter how long ago the alleged crime occurred, can not sustain a conviction. However, that may not stop a police officer from arresting you, especially if they want to search you or want to question you regarding another crime.

I can think of no reason why you would ever want to admit this to a police officer however. What possible benefit could you derive from it?

Lastly, crack kills.
