Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
my son's father was picked up on a warrant issued 9-16-09 but the catch is he wasn't released from jail until 10-24-09.

The warrant could have legitimately issued while he was in jail. It is easy to get the warrant cleared if he was incarcerated at the time he was to appear in court.
