statue of limitations

25 years ago i left mass. i was on probation for disorderyl conduct.i heard there was a warrent out for my arrest for assult,so i left mass. is there a statue of limitations for both of these crimes?

This is something you may have to deal with before you are done. A warrant is good until a judge of that or a higher court removes it. So it may still be in effect.

However, I have worked for the government and I have no confidence in their ability to maintain such a record over this period of time. The warrant is still in effect, but not even the state of Mass may know it. If they do not know to enforce it, then I, as a defense attorney, believe that it will not be enforced at any time in the future.

You must check and find out if the record of the warrant has been preserved and is active.
