Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Stolen Item

Alright, I recently sold someone a computer of mine for $2,000. I talked with him through emails, found him off craigslist. He agreed to pay once he recieved the product. I gave the computer to his girlfriend one night, and she was going to give it to him the next day. I made her sign this :

''I_____ picked up a laptop (something like that) at the IKEA in Stoughton for my boyfriend _____. ''

There was nothing about money or any sort of agreement on the paper. I also took down her address and her liscence plate number.

He is not paying me the money and I have no way to contact him besides emails.

Is there anything I can do about this

or did I slip up somehow. Please let me know

Andrew

Re: Stolen Item

Your question is missing some information. Presumably, you have some way to identify the purchaser, and you know where to find him. Did you keep a copy of your email correspondence with him? If so, what does it say? Is there any other way to establish that you entered into a cash transaction with this individual? Do you have a sales receipt or any other way to establish that the laptop computer was yours in the first place?
