Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
I am submitting a job application, and am being asked if I was convicted of a felony over the past 7 years.
I was found guilty of a DUI in 2008. And I was found guilty of illegal possression class D (marijuana) in 2004.
Both occurred in Massachusetts. Are either of those considered felonies?

Simple posession of marijuana was a misdemeanor in MA. Some OUI offenses are felonies and others are misdemeanors. First and second offense oui's are misdemeanors, but may be felonies if there was serious bodily injury or death. Third offense and higher oui's are considered felonies.
