Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

switching health insurance plan -

I recently realized my ex husband

registered us as married (to save

money) on the health insurance

plan he has paid as part of our

divorce agreement. I am worried

that the records will be transferred

with false

information. He says it's no big deal

- he can just drop the plan. I am not

sure if this is true since a friend of

mine said he could be sued for fraud

and it would impliclate me. When

the plan called recently to update our

records I didn't know how to respond

to them verifying we were married

so I said I would call back. Time

sensitive request. Thanks

THis is not only improper, but could cause the insurer to reject the claim.

I woiuld suggest that he contact the insurer and tell them to correct the application.
