Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
tagging
my 17 year old son was arrested for drawing his intials on a park bench - someone told me the charge is mal. destruction of public property - but when he got his court date the charge says 266/126B tagging- i've been told that a tagging charge is more serious - what do the numbers in front of tagging mean? i know it must pertain to the law but what is it

Re: tagging
These refer to the law, chapter 266 section 126B. This has provisions for loss of drivers license, as well as whatever the court imposes. Your son will be treated as an adult, because of his age. You should contact a criminal defense attorney. If you are in southeast Mass, call me at (508) 822-7777.
