Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
I was the target of a search warrant in Mass. No drugs were found and I have not been charged with any crime relating to the search warrant. I was in a borrowed motor vehicle and the police have now seized the car. Is this legal? Does the owner of the car have any rights?

They would have to give you notice and file a civil action to permanently seize the car. The owner does have rights to contest this.
