Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

ID Theft of minor children

Story: Married 1 year, 2 children, separated since 2001, very recently divorced. Found out mid 2006 my ex-wife had used my name and ssn to obtain credit and utilities in early 2005. Also, found out that she obtained new services two weeks before divorce was final from a company that didn't check for fraud alert, by combining her own name with my ssn. Charges for that are being sought. NOW... the new problem.. was told to also have 2 minor children's ssns checked and so far one has come back with ID fraud at an address ex-wife lived at several years after she lost custody and visitation of both (since Jan 2003 I've had full custody). Can she be brought up on charges for using the children's ssn as well? Only one credit bureau has gotten back to me about one of the minor children, still waiting for the rest, assuming there will be more. Should I advise the police detective who is working on my ID theft case about the minor children as well?

I don't see why you wouldn't inform the detective.
