There is not a set number of days that they have to test and return the results. As your case proceeds in its pretrial stage, your attorney will request the drug certificates at which point the DA must deliver your attorney a copy of the certificates for when your attorney as requested it. I typically ask that it be delivered to me w/in one month of a trial date. If however they have not presented your attorney w/ the drug certs by the time the trial date arrives, your attorney could ask for the certs to be excluded. What will most likely happen is that the judge will give the DA one more trial date to get the certs and present it to your attorney.
