Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
Transfer of Probation
I am currently paying restituition probation. I have complied with all rules of my probation exceot for the first year, 2001. Since then I have not missed a payment. I see my probation officer 4 times a year. I would like to move to Florida? Is there a way that I can do this? I have no other restrictions on my probation other than resstitution. Thank you

Re: Transfer of Probation
You just need to ask your probation officer and bring proof of new residency --i.e-rental agreement on where you will be living or purchase and sale on a house. The probation officer will then bring the case before the judge and ask for permission for you to move and most likely make the case administrative for payment of the restitution. Hope that this helps-Martha Kovner
