Re: trial
Once the criminal complaint is filed only the Commonwealth can "drop the charges" and you are a witness whom the prosecution can require to testify under penalty of contempt of court for refusal to do so, if they choose to do so.
You could speak with your boy friend's attorney.
And, if your allegations were false you should retain an attorney yourself and speak only with that attorney and not in this public forum. Good Luck!
Re: trial
The best thing that you can do is help your boyfried hire a good criminal defense lawyer. As you have learned, the DA will NOT drop the charges at your say so. However, a good criminal defense lawyer will know how to set up the trial so the DA sees they can't win and will eventually drop the charges. Not al lawyers are good at this. Make sure you hire someone who is. If you need assistance or more information, get our contact information from my website at www.LawWorcester.com and call me.

Get in touch with an attorney, or contact me.
Re: trial
There are several different ways to handle such a matter. Since they would be specific to your's and your boyfriend's situation, they should not be discussed in a public forum such as this. Talk to your boyfriend's lawyer. If he does not have a lawyer - he should get one.
