Re: Violation of Probation

On a VOP hearing, the Probation Officer can ask for either bail or to have the probationer detained pending the hearing (within 30 days if detained); your attorney can make a bail argument.

Re: Violation of Probation?

Just to clarify, the probation officer can seek detention without bail.

This request depends on the history, the nature of the alleged violation, and the nature of the probation office or their supervisor.
