Simple assault and battery carries up to 2.5 years. Malicious destruction over $250 is a felony and carries up to 10 years in state prison. "Extensive record" is not enough information upon which to base any kind of sentencing prediction. If the record is for bounced checks or expired car registration, that's one thing. If the record is all violent crimes, that's a different story. Make sure you have a knowledgeable attorney representing you.
