Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

warrant question - also need to hire a lawyer in Taunton MA.

hi im currently on level 3 probation in bristol county, i go to the bristol county community corrections center 4 days a week from 9 am - 2:30 for community service and different classes, the thing is i just recieved a warrant for uttering a counterfeit note about a month ago and im wondering why i havent got arrested yet when i go into the center (there is a police officer present daily), i have the police report and apparently there was a big investigation behind this charge, is it possible the center did not get notice of my warrant, or did the charges get dropped??, will i get arrested if i get pulled over? please help. I also have a surrender violation coming up soon which i have questions about, would rather talk over the phone, i need to hire a good lawyer with experience in probation violations, i have money i also have a couple other court dates and questions, need help ASAP, need lawyer by MONDAY august 21st, i figure this could be the best way to find a lawyer that could argue my case rather than shopping around (which ive been doing) please email me back as soon as you read this, if anything at least give me a phone number and we discuss this face to face. I have just handled a probation surrender hearing similar to yours and have been praticing law for 35 years. I will be out of the office and in court on the morning of August 21st.

I have been practicing for for 15 years with experience in district court, superior court, and appeals. As you know warrants do not get dropped, and charges do not simply disappear. A warrant may be in the compute, but its presence does not necessarily get communicated. Although, your probation officer can find out about this very easily. YOu are right, you can call me and we can schedule a meeting so that I can review what is pending, and what the police report says. I am in my office right now.

I am an attorney w/ an office in Taunton, just a half a mile from the court house. I have been concentrating in criminal defense for the last 17 years and I have handled hundreds of probation surrenders. I am in Taunton District Court 2-3 times per week and I am very familiar with all of the judges and prosecutors there.
