Re: warrent

Your father-in-law will have to surrender himself to the Court to remove the warrant. If the charge is serious, the court may set bail for his release. Unfortunately, the Court will require him to do this before they even retrieve the file from storage to do anything on it. The very first thing he should do is hire an attorney who regularly practices in the court involed who may be able to get some preliminary information up front. You do not mention the court so I don't know if I am your best attorney for this issue. However, you can e-mail me or get my telephone number from my website (www.lawworcester.com) and call for more information if you like.

Re: warrent

Some warrants may be just for an outstanding payment of fees or fines. Others may be for a case that was never initiated, yet others might be for a case where the defendants stopped showing up half way through the case. I've been able to get some warrants recalled without the Defendant appearing. It depends on the nature of the charges and exactly why the warrant issued. What court is this out of, and do you have any additional information?
