Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
Last year my girlfriend who has never been arrested before was taken into custody and charged with larceny by scheme . At her job she was a receptionist among other things . she worked for a non for profit and in her desperate attempt to pay her outstanding bills and rent as well as support her 3 kids and my unemployed behind at the time .... She depositted donation checks directly into her account totalling 56,000 over the course of 12 months unroll finally she had been caught . The judge agreed to our paying the money back at 350.00 a month for three years where they then will revisit the case . She was pregnant at the time and our son was born with a condition where he has to be Fed through a feeding tube and machine and She hasn't been able to go back to work herself so I have been the one paying every month. But for the last 5. Months we haven't been ble to pay due to the kids and bills and rent and basically a lot. We were preparing to pay this months payment and we have been in contact with the court keeping them informed of our situation bit 2 day ago we recieved a letter from the court asking her to appear before the judge for non payment. I don't know what to do and I'm seeking advice on this matter please tell me what I can expect or any course of action to take.thank you
