Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Massachusetts

Slanderious Ex employer

Hi,I quit my job of almost 6 years 3 months ago. My old employer is harrassing me.I put my house on the market to get away from her,and she called my agent telling her numerous lies regarding myself and my boyfriend. She not only called and spoke to my agent but a few other agents as well. She has emailed me numerous hateful emails and has called my home phone and cell phone dozens of times.I cant even fill my car at the mobile station in town ,because of what she has told them.I take care of my elderly grandfather and have to change his doctor (they have the same doctor)because of what she has said to the nurse.(who shops at the store)I need advice on my rights.I have only responded to her by email, and have only replied with nice responses.Thank you for your time.

Re: Slanderious Ex employer

Confusion: Did you have the job for 6 years and quit 3 months ago? Of did you quit your job 6 years 3 months ago?

You have both a defamation claim and a sexual harassment claim. If you quit only 3 months ago, you also have a sexual discrimination (harassment) claim under MGL c. 151B (if there are at least 6 employees).

Save the emails. Hope you kept copies of the phone messages. Try to get affidavits from those people to whom she spoke. All of those items are evidence. How many employees are in the company?

Woops, just noticed something! Since your employer is female and you have a boyfriend, she is either gay or you are...unless you are NOT talking about sexual harassment.

So what ARE you talking about? What is the SUBJECT MATTER of the harassment?

File a complaint for stalking and harassment at the police station or district court, seek a restraining order from the court.
