Re: Hi

Under Massachusetts General Laws, if convicted of an OUI 3rd Offense, the penalty is a minimum of 180 days to 2 ½ years in the House of Correction (with 150 days minimum to be served); a fine of no less than $1000 and no more than $15,000; attendance at a residential alcohol treatment facility (at your expense); a $50 victim witness fee; a $50 victims of drunk driving fund assessment; a $250 head injury fund assessment; and an 8 year loss of your driver’s license.

If you pleade guilty or are convicted, you will go to jail for a minimum of 6 months, and will be eligible for release/parole at 5 months.

I recommend you consult with an attorney nbefore making ANY decision on how to proceed. There are a variety of ways to challenge the assertions of the commonwealth and their claims that you were intoxicated. Please contact me if you wish to discuss further.
