Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts
I was driving a motorcycle 2 years ago and wasn in an accident. I was drunk and was hit by a passing car when I stood my bike up. I was in a coma and in the hospital and never filed an accident report. I never gave power of attorney to anyone and have never been married. My parents never filled out a report. I had a work license at the time. I still do because of the extent of the injuries they told my family it would be curel and unusual punishment to charge me with anything. It was real bad hospital then rehab and then long term rehab. I have been out for about 6 mo with lingering physical issues. Is there anything I need to do before going to get my full license back. Thank you.

I don't know what you need to get your full license back. Did the Registry cite you as a result of the accident? If so, what was it for? What does your driving record look like. My question is do you beleive you have a claim against the vehicle that hit you for personal injuries? Did you make a claim? If not, do you know what the policy limits on the vehicle are? Perhaps there is no basis for a claim but, based on what you say, if a vehicle struck you as you were lifting your bike, there is likely some negligence on the part of the driver of the vehicle that struck you. You describe the process but you do not detail what happened in Court?
