Re: dui
If you claim that you are responsible as opposed to contesting the charge. You will probably receive a continuance without a finding for 1 year. During that year, you will be on probation. You will be assigned a probation officer @ $65.00 per month. You will have to participate in a 16 week alcohol education class and pay for it (approximately $1,100.00). You will have to pay state fees totaling approximately $300.00. You will lose your license to operate a motor vehicle for 45 days. This does not include the cost of an attorney. After the 1 year period, if you do not violate your probation and/or get charged with something else, the charge will be dismissed and no conviction will occur.
