Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts
retrial of dismissal without prejudice
I recieved a notice from the dmv that a warrant had been issued for me. I did not recieve any prior notifaction from the court that my dismissed without prejudice dui case had been recalled.I understand that I have to ''turn myself in to the court'' My question is what is the best way to deal with this, and will the clerks office believe me that I didn't recieve notifaction.

It may be this or another case. You should or have some one check this out in your behalf right away. If you go to court, make sure you know what is going on. The last thing that you would want is to be held on bail, or no bail, for the failure to respond to a warrant, or to attend some hearing. You want to see if this was a mistake or something more serious.

I would hire a lawyer who can research the warrant for you and go to court with you in case of a bail issue. Please feel free to contact me further. Martha Kovner
