Legal Question in Education Law in Massachusetts

extra student loans

I have money left over from my student loans , and my tuition is paid . Can the college withhold that money from me until such time that they see fit to return it to me . I was told by the school that they would not return it to me until the end of the term.

First what kind of school loan is it? Is a a federal loan, strafford loan, private school loan, etc.? It depends on what kind of school loan and what your contract says? There is no way to articulate an answer without knowing what kind of loan it is? Sincerely, Maria Murber
