Mandate Training

I sign a contract to teach online classes. I've been asked to take a mandatory training; however, is the university required to pay me for my time? The university is in AZ, I'm living in MA

If you are being paid a salary, the time you take learning the university's rules, grading, etc. is part of your salary. If you are an hourly employee (unlikely) you are entitled to be paid for all hours spent.
