Legal Question in Education Law in Massachusetts

Possible sexual misconduct by a teacher

I have a female roommate that teaches high school and is tutoring a male student privately ( a minor ). Over the last 6 months I've noticed that he's been sleeping over many nights per month and she sneeks him in and out. He sleeps in her room with her and even showers in our apartment. I'm really uncomfortable with this and am wondering if there are any laws against it. He seems to trust her and doesn't seem distressed, but I sure am. I don't feel this is appropriate even if there is no sexual relations going on. I asked her about it and she says his parents ''know all about it'' but I don't even know what that means. What can I do?

Re: Possible sexual misconduct by a teacher

If you have factual evidence that a crime is being committed (because it is a crime for an adult to have sexual relations with a minor "statutory rape" to be exact), then you should go forward. However, if you are not sure that there is any crime being committed you need to seriously think about this because you will be ruining an individual's life/career if you are just going on a hunch and not hard facts. Good luck!
