Legal Question in Elder Law in Massachusetts
My mother in MA has temporary court appointed lawyer as guardian/conservator.
The Judge did not want to appoint my sister, mother wants my sister or me.
How can I qualify as guardian at pre-trial hearing? I live out of state but will go to hearing.

The answer depends on several things. What are your mother's circumstances, and why does she need a guardian? Who instituted the guardianship proceedings? Why did the judge not want to appoint your sister? You may be appointed guardian, depending on your mother's situation, but if she needs a more hands-on person, it may not be practical for you to serve in that role.
