he has an attorney in maine....(former residence).
he wants to know if he can use his maine lawyer to draw up the power of attorney papers for us, even though he plans on finding a place to reside in ma.

A power of attorney form is not an expensive instrument to prepare, and you are better off having a licensed Massachusetts attorney prepare one for you. Unlike some states, Massachusetts does not have a 'standard' or 'uniform' power of attorney form. If you and your dad will both be residing here in Massachusetts, you will want to establish a relationship with an attorney here. Please feel free to contact my office if you would like to discuss this further.
