Law suit for a softball league

Can a league that has no assetts be sued?

Having no assets is not a reason for someone not to sue. They can still sue and if they win, then can get a judgement. Whether and how that judgement will be satisfied if the league has no money is a question that should enter the mind of a potential plaintiff in making a strategic decision whether or not to sue; it will not necessarily prevent them from suing.

Yes. Not that it would do the plaintiff much good if the defendant truly has no assets, but simply having no assets is not a bar to the filing of a lawsuit. A successful plaintiff would wind up with all assets (e.g., the name, advertising sponsor lists) if cash assets are insufficient to satisfy a judgment.
