Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Massachusetts
I took a pic of a large dog sitting in a car in a parking lot. Can I legalling submit it to the "Ellen" show under the category "cute pets?" I do not have the ownwrs permission. Do I need it?

If you took the photograph, you have the copyright in the photograph. There is not, to my knowledge, any copyright in a dog. If you violated someone's reasonable expectation of privacy, that could be an issue. But it sounds like, in this case, the dog was in a parking lot where there was no reasonable expectation of privacy.
