Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Massachusetts

My song was picked up by a publisher in febuary of 2008. I signed a contract with them.

To this date nothing has been done with it and I would like to pursue other publishers.

Two people have contacted me on using the song but each time both fell thru after speaking with them.

I would like to get out of the publishing contract. How do I do that?

I have an extensive practice in music and entertainment law and would be happy to help you. The answer to this question of course lies in the language of the contract that you signed. I would be happy to read this contract for you to see if it is something that you can get out of so that we can license your song for other uses.

I would be happy to help you with this problem, please do not hesitate to call.

I am an experienced business attorney and formerly ran a Movie Studio in London where such pictures as Star Wars Episode One was filmed as well as acting as the base for Harry Potter I and II. I also represent an independent record company and several recording artists. You need to take your agreement to an attorney to review and advise you on your next steps.
