30 day appeal

we have settled all assets - and been before the judge and executed all divorce decree. now my former spouse wants to renigotiate becaue I am buying a new home. He says he has 30 days to appeal the divorce & settlement. Is this true?

He can appeal it, but he is going to have show cause why. As long as you disclosed all your income and assets, he will have a very difficult time getting the terms of the separation agreement changed.

Actually, the divorce is final if not appealed in 90 days, but he still has to file an appeal and show cause.

: 30 day appeal

If the settlement was by way of an agreement, an appeal is really not the correct manner. An appeal is based, usually, on a judgment that a party finds adverse.
