Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I am 19 and my parents are divorced. I am in school and my father still pays child support to my mother even though I live at school most of the year in New York (we are from massachusetts). The sum of the money is about 300 a month and i feel that i dont see any of this money while at school or at home. Is there anyway as someone who is not a minor I can receive the check directly?

thank you

The amount of money is very small and should be looked at. You can petition the probate court and request that the funds be paid directly to you for support. I am not sure why you want to do this, but I would speak to an attorney in your area and then pehaps to your mother.

good luck
