Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I have a 2yr old son with my live-in boyfriend. The relationship is not working out. Can I legally have him move out of the apartment and continue to pay the rent as well as child-support? His father cosigned the lease.

You mention a boyfriend and a father, but do not mention whether they are the same person.

Assuming your current boyfriend is not your son's father, he has no legal obligation to you. Depending upon the status of your child's birth certificate and your live-in boyfriend's relationship with your son, he may have some obligations to your son.

Depends-the fact's you give here are not enough to state an answer. I do agree that if the boyfriend is not the father then no obligation is owed-however, if he is the father then yes he would be required to pay child support-as to the housing, again depends.
