Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Been trying for 6 yrs. to be divorced not happening Please help.

I have been trying to get divorced for almost 6 yrs. Have had to go back a numerous amount of times for renewal of 209A (restraining order) There has been history of D.V. toward myself and the children. Two 51A's have been filed by D.S.S. He did poorly on pysch. eval, and 2 G.A.L reports, and has continually seen two of the children under supervised conditions. He is now seeing the two children under the supervision of his personal therapist, trying to create ''normalcy'' for the two children, the oldest child, who suffered the most abuse, has not seen him in the entire amount of time .The middle child refuses to see him unless it is supervised. My current attorney has also caught him purjuring himself and did nothing with it in regards to his finances . I don't understand why I cannot get divorced despite the custody situation, I have full physical and legal custody of children.I do not understand why this can't happen.

Without reviewing your documents and history, I can only tell you you should have been divorced long ago, with the issues of child cutody and support left to further proceedings. If your grounds involve the children, then it may be that you have had problems with evidence or proof.

You probably should consider getting another attorney, which you always have a right to do. Of course, a new lawyer will have to become familiar with the case, which will take some time.

Have you raised this question with your present lawyer? What does he or she say?
