What are my rights as an adoptee searching for a birth mother? Am allowed to contact family members ? Especially to try to get her phone number and other genealogical information?

Re: Adoptee search
Rights are a legal entitlement. As an adoptee you have no specific "rights". However, there is nothing prohibiting you from searching for your birth mother by speaking with family members or trying to find genealogical information by means that are available to any public citizen.
