Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

alamony

i went to court today on alamony payments todat and every thing was agreed on by me and my ex wife and we went in front of the judge and she went over every thing ond ok it but she stoped and asked me if i was remarried now my questoin is why she asked that and now if i got remarried would that increase or decrease the amount of the alamony payments if i was cause i was told if i got married again it would increase the amount cause its more income but my feince is a stay at home mother and has young kids and my ex wife just refuses to work at all some one please let me know cause i dont want to keep putting off me happyness
