Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Can you amend a divorce agreement with regards to eliminating children's college expenses after one parent has lost their employment and is struggling to make ends meet.

Can you do this process (on your own through filling out IRS forms) or is it better to retain counsel?

Can the amendment be contested/appealed (without grounds?) or does there have to been strong evidence for an appeal?

This is called a Modification.

You file a complaint for modification at once, citing a change in circumstances, and seeking to modify child support and any other financial obligations.

This is a little complicated, and you do this alone at your own risk.
