Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
Annulment
I have filed an annulment in MA. We were married for one month previous to me filing, he has been served, but has not answered the court. I was told that I am going to have to get a hearing date after his time to answer has expired. I am curious as to the chances of me getting the annulment?
On the complaint for annulment, I commented that there was fraud involved because he was trying to get me to help him pay back $40k and more in back taxes. Did not know about this tax issue previous to marriage. I do not have proof of this information, and the defendant has been MIA since one week after the marriage.
If someone could please give me some information, that would be great!

Re: Annulment
I don't believe that is fraud enough to allow you to get an annulment. There's no harm in trying since you already filed. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the court made you get a divorce instead.
