Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Attorney Pransky-- Thank you so much for your answer to my question regarding whether I should file for child support in Connecticut or Massachusetts. Apparently you have extensive knowledge in family law. My situation is a bit different. My ex actually lives and works in Boston. He does have a house in Connecticut, but he also rents an apartment in Boston during workdays. In this case, he can be considered a Massachusetts resident since he has a physical address there, right? So under this circumstance, should I file now when my baby and I still live in CT, or should I wait in 1-2 months after relocating to MA? My concern is that us moving out of the state can potentially complicate things once the child support case has been opened in Connecticut. Thanks again for your input.

If your ex lives and works in Boston and you will be moving to Boston, you should file for child support now in Boston. You don't need to wait until you move here.
