Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I am an aunt to a 4 yrs child who has been involved with dss several time. i had custody/gaurdianship of him last year. there was an altercation with the mother.judge recommended to the father that neither him nor the mother have custody. i would like to know what my legal options are?

You may be able to once again petition the court for legal guardianship. I am not sure how your guardianship ended? Temporary guardianships expire every 90 days while a Permanent guardianship has no expiration date.
